So far the days have been whizzing by. Its becoming more of a community out here as each day we all become familiar with each other. We now have trail names, Camel and Ladybug. After staying at Lance Creek we woke at 5am to get an early start and left camp around 6, hiking a bit in the dark with our headlamps. It was a bit cloudy so we werent able to see the sun rise but needless to say the mountains are always beautiful. We got to Neels Gap (8 miles) around noon where there was a hostel we stayed at to rest Ladybugs blistered feet. We took a shower, laundered out clothes, and played some jenga. Then came the magical moment of Trail Magic! A church group made us lasagna, Salad!, bread, and sweet tea. Today we hiked 11 miles to Low Gap shelter and tomorrow will be 13 miles. We will be going to a free hostel on April 8th (to celebrate Lady Bugs bday!). We so far have a consensus that while it is nice to rest our bodies in town we like being on the trail much better.
